Human Resources Strategy for Researchers

The aim of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers, which constitute a part of EC strategy – Human Resources Strategy for Researchers is to create a friendly environment for research and transparent principles of recruitment of scientific personnel, which in turn, will lead to increased attractiveness of European Research Area more generally. Promotion of excellence in research includes creation of suitable conditions for research, trainings and scientific career development, as well as promoting the value of mobility.

The European Charter for Researchers
 
Institutions that operate within the R&D sphere (e.g. research institutes, universities, companies) as well as organizations that fund research that have implemented the principles of the  European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers into their internal regulations will be distinguished by the European Commission by obtaining HR Excellence in Research logo. What is more, European Commission promotes such institutions among international organizations and researchers as those which provide researchers with the best working and development conditions.

Declaration of endorsement


On February 4, 2016 the Director of The Nofer Institute of Occupational Medicine in Lodz, prof. Konrad Rydzyński, M.D., Ph.D.  signed a declaration of endorsement for the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers. Simultaneously, NIOM has joined a group of scientific-research and academic institutions that accept and welcome the value of principles included in the Charter and Code, and has obliged itself to apply them.

NIOM efforts to obtain the Award – Implementation of the principles of the  European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers into internal regulations of NIOM

The process of implementation of the Charter and Code started from carrying out a detailed analysis of the compliance of internal regulations, actions and procedures of NIOM with those outlined in the Charter and Code. Based on the analysis, strengths and weaknesses of NIOM functioning have been established and an action planned has been developed. Further improvement of the principles will be fully in agreement with strategic objectives and current developmental plans of the Institute.
