Nofer Institute of Occupational Medicine offers information and databases services in the following fields:

1. Knowledge management:
− creating a specialized knowledge base (generated on the basis of research conducted at the Institute and on the basis of external sources), 
− evaluation of academic achievements for the Central Commission for Academic Degrees and Titles and for the sake of the assessment of employees’ individual academic achievements,
− writing reports, including the reports on the Institute’s activity and the survey of the scientific unit that makes the basis for parametric evaluation led by Ministry of Science,
− implementation of IT services, such as creating and managing the Institute’s databases, creating and managing the repository, delivering academic publications in the electronic form from other libraries (both Polish and foreign), supporting the readers by providing academic information and sharing the resources with them, updating central books and journals catalogs, drawing up the bibliography of the Institute’s employees’ publications, drafting thematic compilations, documentation and dissemination of the WHO publications under the activity conducted at the WHO Documentation Center,       
− organizing and preparing the documentation for the meetings of:
     - Commission for the evaluation of the implementation of the research plan drafted by the Institute’s Scientific Research Council,      
     - Commission for the evaluation of the publishing activity and granting bonuses for academic publications as well as for defining the rules regarding the bonuses mentioned above.

3. Databases:
−  Databases available at the NIOM network,
−  NIOM databases:
      - running bibliographic database MEDIP,
      - completion of the new data computer database: ITOX, STAT (statistics acute poisoning), INF (toxicological information), PROD (record producer).

4. Press contact:
−  creating the Institute’s image policy, which involves designing and updating the websites and contact with the media.

5. Educational background and training:
the Institute organizes courses, workshops and postgraduate studies in occupational medicine, public and environmental health.
