Quality assurance of testing in industrial hygiene laboratories

Zapewnienie jakości badań w laboratoriach higieny pracy

Abstract

In order to achieve and maintain an accreditation,the requirements laid down in a new standard (ISO/IEC 17025) should be met by laboratories. This paper presents the interpretation and some comments on the aforesaid requirements in the specific area of activities carried out by industrial hygiene laboratories. In particular, the author refers to the management requirements (organization, quality system, document control, service to the client, corrective and preventive actions) and technical competence(personnel, facilities, equipment, tests and sampling methods, quality control, reporting etc.).
