On the 28th of June 2012 as part of Swiss – Polish Cooperation Programme (SPPW) an agreement concerning realization of the project “Prophylactic Programme for the prevention of addiction to alcohol, tobacco and other psychoactive substances” was signed. The project will be carried out from the 1st of July of the current year to the 31st of December 2016, in partnership of 4 institutions: Institute of Rural Health in Lublin, Nofer Institute of Occupational Medicine in Łódź, The State Agency for Prevention of Alcohol Related Problems and National Bureau for Drug Prevention.

The main objective of the project is to reduce tobacco, alcohol and other psychoactive substances abuse by women of reproductive age, ie between 15 and 49 years of age.

The project will include the following activities:
1. Trainings for medical staff
2. Education programmes in workplaces and secondary schools
3. Social campaign
4. Survey studies of pregnant women
5. Internet platform – the System of Electronic Monitoring and Health  Promotion
