On the 7th of November in Lodz  there began a two-day meeting concerning the use of business experiences in creation of innovative regional economies. During the 5th European Economic Forum there were held numerous thematic sessions and  discussion panels regarding the energy and renewable energy branch, bio and nanotechnologies, IT / ICT, innovative textile industry, fashion industry, infrastructure and transport, ecological agriculture and food processing.

Nofer Institute of Occupational Medicine joined the discussion during the forum focusing mainly on the issues of bio- and nanotechnology. The director of the Institute, prof. Konrad Rydzyński, MD, PhD, during the first day took part in the panel discussion opened with the introductory lecture ‘Development through innovation: copy-paste 2.0’. The next day prof. K. Rydzyński,  in the branch salon ‘Bio- and Nanotechnologies’, delivered a presentation concerning the use of good practices in the field of bio- and nanotechnological activity in Nofer Institute of Occupational Medicine in Lodz.
