On November 28-29, 2018, a delegation from Georgia visited Nofer Institute of Occupational Medicine in Łódź. The delegation consisted of the representatives of the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health I Tbilisi and the Georgian Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture.

The meeting was a part of the twinning programme "Institutional Strengthening of Environmental Health System in Georgia". The goal of the programme is the development of a national action plan for health at workplace in Georgia. During a week stay in Poland, the delegation visited the Ministry of Health, the National Institute of Public Health - National Institute of Hygiene, the Office for Registration of Medicinal Products, Medical Devices and Biocidal Products, the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection, the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management, and Krakow Smog Alert.

The representatives became acquainted with the activities of the Department of Environmental Epidemiology, the Department of Biological and Environmental  Monitoring, as well as the Occupational Diseases and Toxicology Clinic.
