We are pleased to announce that the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda, by order of 8 January 2019 awarded Kinga Polańska, PhD, Professor of Nofer Institute, the academic title of professor of medical sciences.
Since 2000 Professor Kinga Polańska has been working in the Department of Environmental Epidemiology at the Nofer Institute of Occupational Medicine. Since 2016 she has been the Head of the Children’s Environmental Health Unit.
From the very beginning, she has been interested in the field of environmental epidemiology. She is involved in the study of prenatal and postnatal exposure to environmental factors and the assessment of the impact of this exposure on the course and outcome of pregnancy, health status and neurobehavioral development of children. Since 2007 she has been the coordinator of the Polish Mother-Child Cohort (REPRO_PL).
