We are pleased to announce that the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda, by order of 6 February 2020, awarded the academic title of professor of medical sciences and health sciences to Edyta Reszka, PhD, Professor of NIOM.
In 1999, professor Edyta Reszka has started her work at the Department of Toxicology and Carcinogenesis at the Nofer Institute of Occupational Medicine. In 2013, she was put in charge of the Laboratory of Molecular Genetics and Epigenetics, and since 2017 she has been the Head of the Department of Molecular Genetics and Epigenetics.
From the beginning, she has been interested in research on the molecular basis of processes involving cytoprotective defense and circadian rhythm, as well as their genetic and epigenetic biomarkers, mainly in cancer. Within 5 years of obtaining the post-doctoral degree in medical sciences, she focused her scientific interests mainly on the study of molecular biomarkers.
