e-mail: Beata.Peplonska@imp.lodz.pl

Scope of the activities:

Research:
 - Developing protocols, organization and conduction of the epidemiological studies in the area of occupational and environmental epidemiology
 - Epidemiological assessment of the association between occupational, environmental and genetic factors and the occurrence of malignant neoplasms.
 - Development of information materials and recommendations focusing on the prevention of chronic diseases for employees

Main current research projects carried out in the epidemiology unit are in the field of:
 - the etiology of malignant breast cancer including the occupational, environmental and genetic causes
 - assessment of the impact of night shift work on the risk factors for breast cancer, including lifestyle factors and hormonal factors,
 - assessment of factors affecting mammographic density, in particular cadmium.
