The tasks of the Unit:

− identification of environmental factors inducing adverse dermal effects and prevention of their health effects,
− performance of diagnostics, treatment and prevention of allergic skin diseases, including occupation-related diseases.
− participation in international research projects on the effects of environmental factors  on human health,
− carrying out studies on the pathogenesis of allergic contact dermatitis and irritant contact dermatitis, including studies performed on animal models,
− carrying out studies on the prevalence, determinants and diagnostics of occupational skin diseases,
– carrying out studies of skin irritant effects induced by industrial products being introduced into the market.
